Hi I’m Sarah...

a qualified Life Coach & NLP practitioner. I’m here to help you live a life you truly want, whatever that looks like to you!

This is my story, which might explain a little about what led me to here and why I do this work as a Life Coach

In 2019 I took a huge leap of faith in myself.

My path was pretty much set; I was a trained Beauty Therapist and Make Up artist, I started my own business from home at the age of 19 and which grew to into a busy, award winning, city centre salon. I had a wonderful long-term partner (now my fiancé), active social life, took lovely holidays…. on the surface I looked like a successful businesswoman who was having a great time, because that’s what I portrayed on the outside. On the inside, I was crumbling.

I was desperately miserable; I had very little joy in my life, the business took over every waking minute and completely consumed me. I had lost myself and the thought of my future on that path filled me with dread. It took the death of three family members within 5 months of each other to wake me up.

I didn’t want to live my life like this anymore.

That moment of waking up was the start of a journey that has led me here. A journey that encompassed a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course, self-enquiry, meditation, yoga, journaling. therapy and a lot of reflection. I started to peel away the layers upon layers of protection I had wrapped around my true feelings to enable me to keep going. After all, I had employees who depended on my for a job, a business partner, family and boyfriend I didn’t want to let down. For years I had to go on and the only way I could do that was to not feel. But I couldn’t go on any longer, I either needed to make a drastic change or god knows where that path would have led.

One day, a voice in my head as clear as anything said ‘enough, I’m done’. The voice was so clear, strong, and determined there was no question about whether it was the right decision. It was, I was going to step away from the life I had built but that was causing me so much pain. I can still remember that moment so clearly, it’s forever etched in my memory; the moment I decided to finally take control and start living my life as I wanted.

So, I jumped.

I left my business, left my house, and went travelling with no idea what I would do next. I just knew there was more for me in this life than the one I was living.

For the first time in a long time, I unquestioningly trusted my intuition. I stepped away from the business with absolutely no idea about what I was going to do next. For the first time in years, I felt excited about my future, I trusted myself and knew I would find a path that would give me the life I wanted. A life that would bring me joy, balance, and purpose, one that would get me excited about the future and one where I felt grounded because I was living true and authentically to me. A life where I felt whole.  I was done living in a way that I thought I should. Now I was going to live for myself.

It was the best decision I ever made.

A Side Note:

Now, I’m aware that I was in a very privileged situation to be able to make such huge changes. The support of my loved ones was amazing (my fiancé also left his job so we could travel and rebuild our lives together) and I was in a position to financially allow myself to take a huge leap. I recognise that’s not the case for everyone.

I share my story in the hope that it gives inspiration that anything is possible. But of course your path to change will be different to mine. I thought the rest of my life was mapped out and for a long time thought change was impossible. But a powerful realisation I had in my MBSR course was that I am in control of myself, which includes how I live my life. I can make any changes I want. And that’s what I want you to understand, you have a whole world of opportunity open to you.

It’s not necessary to jump like I did, small changes can have a profound affect just like bigger ones. By connecting to our inner voice and intuition, trusting that to guide us to live in a more authentic way, aligned with our values and prioritising what’s important to us, will undoubtedly bring about positive change in your life.
